Coach Milad Zareian

I was fortunate to earn an NCAA soccer scholarship before going on to play professional soccer as a goalkeeper. After soccer, I also had the opportunity to compete as a professional boxer, giving me the chance to experience what it takes to perform at the highest levels of two different sports.

Today, my greatest passion is being a father, serving my community and helping young people discover that same love of sport. I believe training should be fun, challenging, and something children genuinely look forward to each week. Every session is designed to build confidence, develop skills, encourage teamwork, and most importantly, make kids smile.

I live here in Sunderland with my wife and our three children, who you'll often see around the fields too. In many ways, they're the reason I decided to start this program.

We love living in a small town and being part of such a close-knit community. As our own children have grown up, I've wanted to create the kind of place where local kids can come together, stay active, make real friendships, and develop a love of sport that lasts a lifetime. Somewhere they can challenge themselves, gain confidence, and spend more time outdoors playing with friends instead of sitting at home on video games or iPads.

My hope is that this academy becomes more than just a place to learn soccer. I want it to be somewhere children feel welcome, parents feel part of a community, and every child leaves each session happier, more confident, and excited to come back.
